Extra Sensia - Battle of Psychic - International Psychic Challenge (Season 12)

n 2013, I, Ylva, am one of the Top 12 mediums internationally. I proudly finished in 11th place, making me the 11th best medium internationally.

For season 12 of "Extra Sensia" International Psychic Challenge, 40,000 people applied. I received an email in March asking if I wanted to be part of the selection. On a hot day in July, 276 people gathered to start the challenges to become one of the Top 12 mediums internationally.

After the first challenge, 30 of us remained. After the second challenge, there were 18 of us. After the third challenge, I became one of the Top 12 mediums left. In the first episode, I became one of the Top 12 "psychics."

In the second episode, I was the week's best medium. The third episode of "Extra Sensia" aired on October 20th. In the fourth episode, I was eliminated and finished in 11th place. WOW! I am the eleventh best internationally. How about that ;)

Below, you can follow my adventure in Ukraine in 2013, where I lived from July to October 2013. I was part of it up to episode 4, but the other episodes are worth watching too. Unfortunately, there are no translations, so your Russian/Ukrainian should be in form, but you can hear the English speakers in the background. And regardless, there's so much drama that it's worth watching just for that.

Episode 1 (October 6, 2013) 40,000 applied, I was invited, 276 were selected for the first task (the box), 30 for the second task (the frog in the milk), and 18 for the third task (Juliette Binoche), and 12 of us remain. I had the honor of meeting Juliette B. in private for a few hours :) And she was the first I read using my new deck - Prisma Tarot. You can catch glimpses of me at the following times: 9:50, 12:17, 25:24, 25:52, 37:46, and onward...

Episode 2 (October 13, 2013) I am introduced as one of the 12 finalists. About 23 minutes into the show, you can see me reading the energy of a photo of a child. I'm completely confused; I have a hard time seeing that the child exists and am asked to describe the parents. I struggle to see the father other than being tall and very dark. But I talk mostly about the mother. I explain that she is intense, her work means a lot, I have a hard time seeing the son in her life, she's a workaholic, and then I just realize and say, "She is psychic, that's it, she is really psychic." And who is the mother? Precisely, it is me! They had constructed a data image based on the DNA of me and one of the male participants, Ingvar Le Raven. When we go down to Pascha (the host) to see who the parents are, and I see Ingvar, I exclaim that he is the father. You can see me start laughing when I find out that the mother is me.

Later in the episode, we visit a woman who wrote to the program. She hears her deceased daughter calling "mama," and more than she has heard it as well. About 5 minutes in, you see me.

My reflection and what I said was that it wasn’t the daughter; it was about the woman's father, who I saw had abused and beaten the child's mother, and then he hanged himself in the house, and the woman's daughter was her angel watching over her.

Dilaram, who won the program, said the same, and it was true; the father had hanged himself in the house. Benedikt also talked about the father, but Salavat and Elina spoke about evil spirits and black magic, saying blood ran down the walls of the house. In my experience being there, my psychic ability did not perceive any blood, but rather a great sadness.

About 30 minutes in... When the jury evaluates us, you can hear Pascha say that I was extraordinary :) It really was a thrill because I felt completely lost in most of it.

The jury and host did their utmost to constantly test us to see how much we could handle, how much we could endure, and whether we remained centered in our spiritual abilities in various situations.

Clearly, I was the only one suspicious of the child photo, that it wasn't a real child, as I kept saying I couldn’t connect with the child, feeling like it didn’t exist, yet I clearly sensed the mother throughout.

Some pictures show us standing during the elimination. The women on one side and the men on another; this season was titled men versus women.

Some participants were reprimanded, but no one was eliminated, and then Pascha turns to me and says I am the week's best medium. And then I become this happy :)

Episode 3 (October 20, 2013) About 3:43 into the program Here you can see me talking about my thoughts before the balloons, rakes, and electric wires, and how I'm already half-blind (I can’t see with my left eye) and when blindfolded, I can’t see with either (big surprise!)

About 31:23 Here you can see me in a balloon dress; there were 24 balloons, I came out with 8 remaining, and 1 was the minimum to proceed. After the balloons, I walked over rakes quickly and without hitting a single one. Then, on the electric wires, the first went well, but when I had to lift my dress to get over the second wire, I didn’t lift it enough. All of this was done blindfolded.

About 64 minutes Here you can see me using my deck - Prisma Tarot - and doing a reading for Hector, a famous TV star (chef) in Ukraine and without seeing a picture of him or having any idea who or how famous he was. He was unhappy with my reading :( And I notice only those who flattered succeeded.

About 90 minutes Elimination, Arra, Valentina, Elina, me, Dilaram, and Veronica on the women’s side. I wasn’t the best medium but wasn’t eliminated, which happens in episode 4, where I exit as Top 11, 2013 International Best Medium.

Episode 4 (October 27, 2013) I am eliminated in 11th place. I am TOP 11. Here, I read a card on a young woman who was murdered. Here I had to choose a melon, one of which was without poison, and the others were filled, making them purple. I chose incorrectly after disputes with the producers, who more or less forced me to choose others to the right on the top row :(

I also did a reading for this French actress, Juliette Binoche who was pleased :)

Then, I appear when images from the evaluation are shown. Then I leave... In eleventh place, strangely very satisfied, or as I replied when they asked, "mixed emotions" because that’s how it was; I was thrilled to go home while simultaneously wishing I could have stayed. But I get a warm hug from everyone.
