Your runes

Find the form for your runes that appeals to you. I have made my runes in clay and short form, and I have an English rune deck and my own “The Rune Witch Tarot” that even have the bind runes. I also have some sets with engraved runes on crystals and a set in metal. I like to decipher depending entirely on my mood. You can make your runes yourself, but you can also buy them ready-made in a material or card form. They will work because the energy form is created there.

If you want to make runes in clay, I recommend the one you buy in hobby shops, which dries in the air. The Terracotta I use is air-dried, which takes about 6 hours per rune, or it can be dried in the oven on low heat for about an hour.

If you make your runes in clay, preferably about 1.5 cm in diameter and about 3 - 4 mm thick, take out 25 pieces, make small round balls about 2 cm in diameter, and press them until they are round or square with rounded corners. I push my thumb from above until they get the shape they get: square with rounded corners.

There's a lot of magic in most of what we do, and pushing out balls with my thumb involves the thumb representing the void, all the elements. The index finger is fire, the middle finger is air, the ring finger is earth, and the little finger is water. Carve in one rune at a time as you say its name, cementing its energy into the clay.

You can, with the runes created in clay or wood, fill the rune with your blood (if you are a woman, menstrual blood is preferable; yes, I know it sounds disgusting to some, but according to many traditions, it is one of the most vital energies available).

If you are not "bloody," you can poke a small hole in your finger and drip blood into one rune at a time, the rune you are engaging with for the moment, or just on the rune that you think suits you best or into a created runic symbol.

You can paint runes on stones and crystals or engrave each rune. But it is more beautiful than magical; it becomes an energy from the crystal that each rune strengthens. If you want to work with love issues, an advantage is to create a set of Rose Quartz to make the love energy the strongest. You can use Citrine if it is more employment that you want to work on. Or Amethyst if it's for spirituality or Rock Crystal for health and personality. Financial matters are best handled via Aventurine or Green Quartz. A crystal that can be beneficial in all situations is Hematite, as it neutralizes and strengthens the energy without affecting it.

If you make them out of wood, cut them into pieces of the same size and carve or burn in the symbol of the rune. On stone, you should look for similar stones in shape. This is to relax. Do not go for the shape if you want a particular rune, if it is the largest, oval, or similar. Then, you can believe when you feel the form that it is this rune. I want it because you believe it is the answer and guidance you want.

If you want them in short form, buy the game that appeals to you. You can also use the Major Arcana from my Rune Witch's Tarot Deck, where I have put a rune on each card—except for the Hermit, which has four, all of them for the elements.

I know those who have made their runes in reindeer or elk horns on leather and copper pieces. The most common thing is that they are kept in a bag, mainly leather, big enough to get your hand in to pick out a rune.

Should it be bound in wood?
Here is a bit of the magic in it all, making an energy form bound in wood; that way, that piece of wood has the energy the rune creates. Then it's just a matter of choosing what kind of energy you want: protection, power, love, etc.

Birch is the tree you should use to work with feelings, empathy, and intuition. Most of all, the birch tree consists of water, symbolically and energetically. Water is symbolic of emotions (following the flow).

Oak is the tree that shows ancestors' knowledge, wisdom, and inheritance. A suitable tree species if you want to work with more shamanistic methods and nature's rhythms for healing and balance. It is also well suited to sieving for the future based on the whole from the past.

Pine is the type of tree that is best for inner answers and insights, for healing, growing as that tree shows purification and healing.

For other types of wood, search for their meaning and adapt them to your purposes.
You can make your symbol picture with runic symbols on your runic bag.

You will find text about each rune; read one at a time. If you want to learn how to interpret runes, read them in the order I have placed them here. If you want to know more from my point of view, draw a rune and read on. First, I briefly describe each rune in the order I know and believe they were created.
