Runes have long been a tradition in Swedish culture. Perhaps it started when the Vikings carved signs, so-called staves, into trees, usually in the tree species book. That's the Swedish name for letters: Bok-stavar. (staves of books)
The runes were carved to guide those who came after to the place where someone wanted to tell something about an event. Each rune had its meaning based on the way it sounded. It became an alphabet based on simple rods that could be carved, following the tree's grain. Then, transferring these letters to individual pieces of wood and stones became a natural step.
Magical powers came from the energy created in the piece of wood. Each staff carried contact with the (asa) gods. Protective amulets and talismans became natural parts when, for example, they wanted to attract someone or realize something. Then, a ritual was created. They put runes with letters that symbolize that person's name or the event. They could also put an extra rune for any purpose they wanted with that person.
It was not just anyone who could do it but only those initiated into the knowledge of the magic of the runes. Or rather, those with the interest and patience were not busy with any other form of survival. As with the priesthood, only a few were initiated.
Nowadays, it is up to everyone to understand and interpret the message that the runes can give via the subconscious. This also shows collective thinking, heritage, and the superconscious, which shows contact with one's higher self. The superconscious and subconscious are reflected in the drawn rune; we draw the energy the action is about. We are drawn to the energy that you have or ask about.
Many also wear a rune, usually as a necklace, to protect or amp up that energy. But they can also be "carved" into the body, either painted for the moment or tattooed on them, as I have done. The runes on my body have specific meanings for me and what I want to create.
For example, I have the rune "Uhruz," which stands for basic power; on the inside of my left wrist, the left is the side that takes in energy. I have chosen not to have it in the middle of my hand. Instead, I have "Jaraz." From that energy, collective consciousness, and harmony in community with others, I draw in and activate "Uhruz" to gain more power.
The vast majority of people who read runes often have a personal rune once they have learned what that rune or runes carry in terms of energy and symbolic value. There is a rune that is special to you that carries your basic energy.
There are profound aspects to interpreting runes with magical rituals.
This text covers the runes and how you can interpret their symbolism to answer your everyday questions about work, economy, love, health, and spiritual development. It also explains how you seek guidance from what energies are active in your life. Maybe you should use another rune to create balance in your energy.
You may find that my text differs slightly from someone else's interpretation, and so on. I am not referring to the so-called futhark (the word is after the first six characters F-U-T-H-A-R-K) or the Uthark. Instead, this is from how I learned from a noid (a lap magician) of channeling the messages from the runes.
The important thing is to listen to yourself and what feels suitable for you, and based on that, create your connection with each rune.
As in all magic, you should always have respect for what you are doing. The word "rune" means "secret" but also "wisdom"; according to the myth, they were given to man by Odin. The magic of the runes is solid and transparent; they should be used in silence. Use this knowledge wisely, but of course, you can ask if love is forever (that's always the big question for all of us, right?). If nothing else, you will one day look at what love means to you through the knowledge of the runes. Or maybe you get tired of your pattern that you stop
When you have a question, try taking a rune for an answer. Stop and think. What does it mean to you? Feel free to draw a rune to see what you should do to move forward or find the truth on your life path in that particular question or situation. Each rune has a message for you; nothing is a coincidence. Stop with the rune instead of looking for more answers in another rune.
Interpreting runes is a way of divination, i.e., guiding about, among other things, the past, present, and future by interpreting the energy that each symbol implies. Remember that from the basic meaning, your perception and experience determine what the rune means to you. Runes show more spiritual growth than external focus. In today's society, a symbol contains many more different aspects than when the runes originated.
An ordinary line carved into a tree means that the tree changes its energy form; a rune "carved" on you means that you improve the quality of the rune's symbolism. You can draw runes and carry them on you if it is in card form, clay, or crystal, but you can also draw (carve) them on your body.
Think of each rune as a frequency; when you activate it, you strengthen that area.
As for the runic magic department, I use the word "carve"; you can read that as draw.
Welcome to the magical world of runes.
